Europe: Finland, est. 1918

Finland was part of Sweden from the 12th century. After the Finnish War of 1809, Finland ceded to the Russian Empire and became the Grand Duchy of Finland. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, Finland declared its independence and fought the Winter War (1939–1940) and the Continuation War (1941–1944) against the Soviet Union in order to retain its independence.

Adopted after the independence from Russia in 1917, Finland’s flag features a blue Nordic cross on a white field. The blue represents the country’s many lakes and skies, while white symbolizes the snow-covered landscape and purity.

High quality and durable flag patches for collectors, airsofters and members of the military. Also serves as a morale patch.
